Sailun Holds Fourth Improvement and Innovation Conference
Sailun Group’s Manufacturing Center held the Fourth Improvement and Innovation Conference at its headquarters on May 30. Some 82 outstanding projects for annual improvement and innovation were produced following professional evaluation. Jane Liu, Chairwoman of Sailun Group, and Xie Xiaohong, President of Sailun Group, proposed new strategies for improving innovation.
During the conference, Director of Improvement and Innovation at Sailun’s Manufacturing Center Liu Chuncui gave a presentation on the center’s work over the past year. Through its strategy of making use of corporate culture to lead and create a smart future, the center has built factories overseas and set up an improvement and innovation platform to find gaps and raise quality standards.
Sailun’s factories recommended 181 projects for the annual meet. Some 82 outstanding projects for improvement and innovation were selected after professional evaluation, including 17 improvement projects, 8 Six Sigma projects, 13 promotion projects, 11 best projects, 7 improvement and innovation teams, and 17 outstanding individuals and teams.
In a speech, Xie congratulated the selected projects and deployed tasks for improvement and innovation. He said “a general is a fighter”, and more talents are needed as Sailun is experiencing rapid growth. Xie added that an improvement and innovation platform is the best way to find talents. Promoting an environment of improvement and innovation has contributed to Sailun’s strength in manufacturing. Thus, Sailun must continue its pursuit of improvement and innovation to achieve its strategic goals.
Later, representatives of outstanding projects shared their experiences in improvement and innovation. Director of Quality Pan Wenlian then gave a presentation on “Implementation of IATF16949 Quality System from the Perspective of EcoPoint3 Tire Production”. Awards were also presented to outstanding projects, teams and individuals.
Delivering her speech, Jane Liu credited Sailun’s rapid growth to industry-academia partnerships and a corporate culture that fosters innovation. The manufacturing center’s team has expanded since the first improvement and innovation conference was held. She said all departments can learn from the center’s strong sense of purpose and spirit of continuous innovation. Sailun’s mission is to make great tires. Improvement and innovation must be market- and user-oriented, focusing on value creation. Sailun must leverage on its strengths in manufacturing to develop a top brand and achieve high-quality development.
